We love colours!

All kinds of colours including all the subtle, mixed up, dark and light colours. We get very nerdy about understanding colour in order to create things to help you on your creative journey. It has taken years to unravel the primary colours story and realize how important pink and cyan are when mixing colourants. Red and blue are wonderful primary colours for mixing lights, like the RGB (red, green and blue) lights used to make all the colours you see on this screen. However, if you are working with materials, you need magenta / pink, cyan, and yellow.

We also love many sensory experiences, so pairing colours and flavours was a natural fit. We plan to bring you many more ways to understand and appreciate colour!

When we want to talk about a certain colour, it is helpful to imagine a CMY (cyan, magenta, yellow) spectrum and think about where the colour lands on the spectrum. For example, a blue but the blue is on the way to cyan. This process is the inspiration for CMYa! creations.
